Blood Drive Committee
Check back here in April for applications for next year's Blood Drive Planning Committee!
Last year, ACT and App State collected 1,200 pints of blood. You can be part of that success by applying for the Homecoming Blood Drive Committee. Whether you are involved with Appalachian & the Community Together, Relay for Life, Athletics, or the School of Music, or other organizations - joining the Homecoming Blood Drive Committee gives you hands-on experience in event planning and logistics while you work collaboratively with others from the Boone community.
Former committee members gained valuable transferable skills and “real-world” leadership experience that helped to make them competitive candidates for jobs and internships after graduation. By the end of the blood drive, you'll realize that you made a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Committee member requirements & responsibilities:
- Passion for helping others
- Reliable & dependable
- Organized & motivated
- Able to meet twice weekly during the first 7 weeks of the fall semester
Why should I apply?
- Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to Appalachian and your community
- Excellent experience
- Meet incredible people
- It’s a lot of fun!
