Homecoming Blood Drive Committee


Members of the 1,000 Pint Homecoming Blood Drive Committee are involved in various facets of student life at Appalachian. Whether they are involved with Appalachian & the Community Together, Relay for Life, Athletics, or the School of Music, students look to join the Homecoming Blood Drive Committee to gain more experience in event planning and logistics, work collaboratively with the community, and to make a difference in the lives of others. Committee members report gaining valuable transferable skills and "real world" experience that make them competitive candidates for jobs and internships after graduation.

Committee member requirements & responsibilities:

  • In Boone during Summer Session II
  • Passion for helping others
  • Reliable & dependable
  • Organized & motivated
  • Able to meet weekly over the summer, and twice weekly during the first 7 weeks of the fall semester
