Regional, national, and international internships are an exciting way to gain solid career skils and still work to improve the community and the world around you. You can also gain some valuable insight toward what you want to do with your future through these kinds of experiences.

And, yes… there are even full-time JOBS out there that allow you to connect your concern for human and global issues with your CAREER goals. Many of the jobs are very, very cool… and, just because you work for a "non-profit" does not mean that you don't get paid!
