A BIG THANK YOU to the hundreds of volunteers and shoppers who made this year’s Don’t Throw it Away collections and The BIG Sale a HUGE success!

An unbelievable $21,950.62 was raised at this year's BIG Sale!

Funds from this 12^th annual event sponsored by ACT will benefit The Children’s Playhouse and a partnership between Hospitality House and NC AIRE  by providing energy efficiency mini-grants. Proceeds will also support an international service-learning scholarship for ASU students.                                                                                  

Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and community members turned out for this year’s BIG Sale at Legends to buy gently used items at rock bottom prices. Carpets, couches, printers, tvs, books, clothes, and more that were sold were salvaged from residence halls on campus during move out last spring which diverted an estimated 72 tons of material from our landfills. A BIG THANK YOU to the hundreds of volunteers and shoppers who made this year’s Don’t Throw it Away collections and The BIG Sale a HUGE success! Another big thank you to the tireless efforts of the impACT Team, ACT's student leadership team, over the past several months to make this event possible.
