See the world with new eyes. Serve the world with your hands.

Are you taking your education beyond the walls of the classroom? Consider an Alternative Service Experience and explore a variety of social issues while working shoulder to shoulder with communities across the globe. Whether a domestic program on in the gulf coast or an international program south of the equator, use your time during fall, winter and spring break to create deeper connections between your classroom work and the communities of the world.

Each program's leadership team is comprised of two Peer Leaders (undergraduate students) and one Learning Partner (faculty/staff member).  Peer Leaders complete extensive training and work with the Learning Partners to organize meaningful out-of-the-classroom learning experiences for their participants. While program costs and sign-up processes vary, each provides the opportunitiy for a life-changing and one-of-a-kind learning and service experience.

As of 2011 all of our Alternative Service Experience programs are CARBON NEUTRAL!

I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again...
